Italian football expert Conor Clancy believes Romelu Lukaku would only return to the Premier League to link-up with former club Chelsea this summer.
Lukaku scored 113 Premier League goals while on the books of Manchester United, Everton and West Bromwich Albion but failed to net in the top flight in Chelsea colours.
The Belgium international – who starred at Euro 2020 – has been prolific with Serie A giants Inter Milan, with him scoring 64 goals since joining from Manchester United in a £74million deal two years ago.
It has led to rumours that Lukaku could be heading back to England, although the 28-year-old has committed his future to Inter amid interest from Chelsea and Manchester City.
According to Tuttosport, Inter have named their price. The report states it would take a bid of £102.5million for the Italian club to sanction a deal allowing Lukaku to leave the San Siro.
Forza Italian Football editor Clancy believes Stamford Bridge is the only possible Premier League destination for the £142,000-a-week frontman.
Clancy exclusively told The Transfer Tavern: “The only team I can maybe see him joining is Chelsea.
“He has unfinished business there but it looks like they’re keen on Erling Haaland instead. If I were Lukaku, I would be staying put at Inter.”
