Continues to show immaturity on biggest stages
WHAT HAPPENED?
The 21-year-old midfielder, who has only logged 210 Bundesliga minutes this season, was visibly seen disrespecting and not listening to Hummels postgame, while shrugging him off and walking away. Teammate Jamie Bynoe-Gittens is seen trying to play mediator, but Reyna turns on him as well, leaving the pitch.

Nigel Reo-Coker said: "I see a senior experienced player talking to a young player about the game, and this is a World Cup winner there (Mats Hummels)… this, for me, you just can't do that as a young player, especially when you're not playing consecutive minutes. You can see the frustration there and he's talking to you and saying – look, this is what i'm trying to tell you, I've played the game long enough and I've got the experience – you don't argue like that, especially out on the pitch."
THE BIGGER PICTURE
Off-field issues have blighted Reyna at both club and international level. At the 2022 FIFA World Cup, he was nearly sent home by boss Gregg Berhalter over problems on the training ground, with the debacle resulting in a months-long investigation. Reyna's parents attempted to blackmail the USMNT boss over his comments about their son, resulting in a temporary leave of absence from the touchline during a U.S. Soccer investigation to the matter around the head coach.
