Riding a 42-match unbeaten streak in Eredivisie action, the Dutch side lost their first league match since January 2023. USMNT star Sergino Dest started the game, playing 90 minutes across the defeat, while U.S. internationals Malik Tillman and Ricardo Pepi came off the bench.
PSV scored the opening goal of the match, but then conceded three-straight to fall on the night. A late Luuk de Jong penalty could have sparked a comeback, but their leading scorer was denied from the spot by ex-Barcelona goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen.

The shocking defeat ended their historic run, but all good things eventually come to an end. For Dest and Co. it has been a brilliant campaign, and they still sit 10-points clear of second-place Feyenoord in the league standings. It was a result they could afford en-route to the Dutch title.

Dest has appeared in 22 Eredivisie matches for PSV this season, starting every single time he was available.
